Choosing a detergent powder production line starts with explaining what you need it to produce and how you expect it to operate. For buyers preparing to meet Meibao at the Canton Fair, a short description of these requirements can make the first discussion more focused.

Whether you are building a new detergent powder plant or improving an existing one, the following five questions will help you organize the information available. Detailed technical specifications can follow as the project develops.

1. What Detergent Powder Will You Produce?

Start with the intended use and target market. Will the powder be used for hand washing, machine washing or both? Are you planning one product or several grades for different customer groups?

Share existing product requirements, available formulation information or a reference sample where possible. You do not need to define every technical parameter at this stage. A clear product direction helps the supplier understand what the equipment will need to support and which details require further discussion.

2. What Output Do You Need—and Over What Operating Schedule?

If you have a capacity target in tonnes per hour, state it clearly. If your target is annual production, also explain the expected operating days, shifts and hours per shift.

For a line producing several products, indicate how output may be divided between them. Maintenance, product changes and operating schedules affect actual production, so nominal hourly capacity alone does not establish annual output.

These details help the supplier discuss equipment capacity against your production plan. If the schedule is still provisional, label it accordingly.

3. What Facilities and Equipment Already Exist?

For a new factory, provide the project location and any available building dimensions, usable height or preliminary layout.

For an expansion or upgrade, describe the existing production sections, their current output and the problem you want to address. For example, explain whether you want to increase production, improve material handling or connect new equipment to an existing packing section.

Site photographs and an equipment list can help identify connections and constraints that need closer assessment before a configuration is proposed.

4. Which Raw Materials and Utilities Can You Obtain?

Outline the raw materials you intend to purchase and whether they will be sourced locally or imported. If available, include supplier specifications.

Also describe the available fuel, electricity and water supply. Mark any uncertain information for follow-up. Local supply conditions help establish the basis for equipment discussions and show where further checks are needed.

5. Which Sections and Services Should Be Included?

Clarify whether you need a complete production line or selected sections, and whether the scope should include detergent powder packaging equipment.

State your expectations for installation guidance, commissioning and operator training. Agreeing the scope helps distinguish supplier responsibilities from customer-provided facilities and makes later proposals easier to review. The final scope depends on the individual project.
